PRELIM QUESTIONS

·         How does your prelim represent particular social groups?

My prelim represents music students from the school as he has a mic and a pretty green polo on which is not only fitting with the style of the target market but is also the brand of oasis's Liam Gallagher who is a current artist. Also as it is a school magazine the audience needs to be broad so the cover includes headlines for more than one music genre and it has more than just music as a subject area..

·         Who would be the intended audience for your product?

The intended audience for my magazine is a range of groups from the sporty types to the musicians through to the mathematical geniuses. The magazine has a strong focus on music but covers all areas throughout a teen based college. This is shown by cover lines that focus on media, music and sport. As well as the teenagers throughout a college the magazine would also be of interest to teachers as they also like to know the latest on whats going on in and around the school.

·         How did you attract/ address your audience?

To attract the audience to Auburn magazine I used a bold font and colour for the masthead so that it would stand out on the white background. I also used darker colours for the cover lines as they need to be noticed and draw students in by the fact that they can relate to the stories inside. Another important part of the cover of my magazine is the main image which attracts the audience as it shows a music student who would be known throughout the school, the way this magazine is done will make the reader fell a part of the magazine and its stories.

·         What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I have learnt about many technologies in the production of this product. For example I had to use photoshop which is new to me and will help me greatly in the product of my final coursework product. Also we used the lights and screen to take our photos which will allow me to make any changes i feel necessary for the final photos i take.
