Jack, you are going to need to explain which minimalist magazines you copied and why? Do they belong to your genre? A weak student will claim all music mags are like X,Y or Z, a strong candidate will be be able to diferentiate between the different sub genres within music mags.
I would not use that fader contents as your example because your version is far too similar (the number 42 etc), try and find a few alternatives.
You will need to mention why you used a slightly larger font than Q and WHY you looked at Q at all when you were making a hip hop magazine.
