On my cover i included many aspects that would help to attract the target audience of my magazine. The most of these is the main image in which I have used high fashion which should get the correct audience to look through the magazine, another thing i have done along the lines of fashion include a Givenchy logo bottom right. This is important as i targeted a fashion orientated audience with money to spend. Also i have gone for a minimal look, conventional of many hip-hop magazines on the shelves already. The fonts i have used here are conventional for this genre as they are arty and have an edgy look that you could expect from something like graffiti art and other similar magazines such as _________. The final thing my cover does to attract the young male audience i have targeted is the use of black, white and red which give it a wealthy look and are rich colours.
This is my magazine contents that attracts my intended audience by firstly including a website and twitter address at the top that allows for young people to get informationabout and subscribe to the magazine online. Also down from this you can see an image that shows a high end fashion store which obviously contains good clothing that people who buy the magazine maylike. Then the main section of the page with all of the stories is a big attraction to the audience of my magazine as the are very heavily interestd in the music more than the artists and like to know all of the latest about whats going on the hip-hop world.
this is my DPS and it has a large image and title that will cause an attraction to my audience through the well known face of an artist and also the small print top right is about writing about the clothes he is wearing that would be something that the audience will hopefully be greatly interested in.

You need to state what the main image on your cover is of, who is your artist? who are they most similar too? Black whit and red are not 'wealthy' colours, they are just colours. They can become 'wealthy' colours if they are combined with other elements so you need to state what you have combined them with in order to make that kind of statement.
ReplyDeleteFor the contents you need to explain why it is so sparse. Why have you only identified the pages of a few key things? Mention again why you've stuck to mid shots for Ben (they will try and mark you down if you cannot explain that).
You haven't written enough on the DPS for me to be able to meaningfully comment. They will be looking for you to identify key linguistic techniques as well as use of hot spots.
